About

About Jacob Strobel

Following his childhood love for working with wood, Jacob Strobel was trained as a cabinet maker at his uncle's workshop. Driven by the desire to focus on the creative process, he decided to study wood design at the University Of Applied Art Schneeberg, Germany, where he developed his substantial way of creation. He also gained craft and design experience with materials such as glass, plastics, porcelain and metal, studying 3D Design at Gray´s School Of Art Aberdeen, Scotland. During his internship at Studio Christian Haas he internalized the values of style and brand identity. As Head of Design at TEAM 7 Jacob Strobel helped to push the brand to its current leading position for about 7 years whilst maintaining the values of its long tradition. Since 2015 he holds the position of Professor of Wood Design back at the university where he studied, passionate about conveying his knowledge of wood design and determined to expand his own professional horizon as a freelance designer.
